Make Art

We are all feeling our feels, holding big things, showing up to do our good work, and trying to comprehend the impossible gut wrenching pain & problems in the world around us.

Discussing mental health, addressing emotional well-being, & exploring embodied patterns, all need to be woven into the fabric of how we live our lives not just relegated to a month of #mentalhealthawareness.

One of the best ways we can honor, reveal, move, reflect on whatever it is we are holding & feeling is ᗰᗩKᗴ ᗩᖇT.

Not for anyone else. For your self.
For your healing. For your freedom.

Take your pain, give it light.
Take your rage, give it space.
Take your grief, let move.
Take your love, let be a kaleidoscopic ray.

Let your heart pour out.

Unravel what is tangled up inside & tucked in the closet of your beautifully curated life. It’s okay to make a mess, to feel like it doesn’t make any sense, to not turn it into a “product” you hang on the wall or post on your feed.

Be willing to feel, to move, to hold both sides. Let your courage & your honesty take you deeper to some place new, some place True.

Let’s forge a new world from there.
Together. Because we are inextricably connected. Your liberation is tied up with mine & I’m not free until you are free.

The second best way I know to hold both sides, to heal, to make something beautiful out of pain is to reach out for support. Seek a mentor that makes you feel safe and seen, that helps you turn pain into power, supports you in transforming wounds into wisdom, and connects you to the beauty that can blossom from the mud.

I am one such mentor and I always have space to connect with women who are holding it all, ready to make art, reclaim center, and rise in their Truth.
